Warmerise

Red vs Blue team shooter with vehicles, a long weapon unlock tree and a player base that's stuck around for years for a reason.

Warmerise: Red vs Blue has been running for over a decade, and it's built like a game meant to be played for months rather than minutes. Two teams, a long weapon unlock tree, vehicles on the bigger maps, and objective modes that reward sticking with your team.

Progression is the hook. You start with basic gear and unlock rifles, snipers, launchers and attachments over time — nothing is locked behind money, only play. That gives every session a sense of moving forward, which most browser shooters don't offer.

The trade-offs are age-related. The visuals are dated, movement is stiff compared with newer games, and the interface takes a while to get used to. But the community is loyal, servers are stable, and if you want a team shooter with something to work towards, it's one of the few in a browser that provides it.

  • Slow start for new accounts
